Billion People March
This week on High-Dere, Ian & Joe have technical problems right from the beginning. But then they prove that they do know what they’re doing, and now they wrap their mind around how baffling people can be!
They start off by inviting Pierce Brosnan on the show. Then they wonder how places like Guitar Center, Fry’s and Micro Center are still around?!? Does anyone else remember Bawls? We do! SHOUT OUT!!!
Then, very importantly, they invite Daft Punk to submit a cover of the High-Dere theme song! We would be so honored to be able to represent you at the head of every show! They imagine what it’d be like to have to say goodbye to your entire life in a proper way within 24 hours. Would it be easier for the one’s left behind who get to continue on with their familiarity? Or relationships, why can’t people just communicate, and help things flow in and out amicably?
And why is there such animosity towards cops? A $400 arbitrary walking violation is why! And yet Joe was still trying to be conversational rather than confrontational. Aren’t police supposed to be there to keep the peace? Like at a peaceful protest? Like the Billion People March. SHOUT OUT!!! Much like their friend Shelby Cook (SHOUT OUT!!!) they have thrust themselves into a world of creativity, under their own steam, and it’s a trip! And that is what makes passions grow.
They skip around the garden with Easter a little bit, wondering what it would be like if the story of Christ wasn’t a religious story, but just a story. How would it be interpreted? What if Jesus had a podcast?
We ask the really important questions on High-Dere. Cards Against Humanity strategies get shared, and they discuss which half of their bodies they would want to get stuck in amber…all on this week’s episode of High-Dere.
